Chandler Studios Photography
John and Teresa Chandler merged John’s obsession with photography and Teresa’s life-long love of the arts into what became Chandler Studios in 2003.
Teresa, a lifelong artist educated at Indiana University in the fine arts, originally specialized in portraiture using both oil and pastel mediums. Very active in art guilds and community workshops, she has always enjoyed the creative atmosphere of the studio. In 1995 she decided to market her skills in fine art portraiture specializing in commissioned portraits. Now her work can be appreciated in the digital medium.
At that same time in 1995, John’s obsession with photography was being recognized at local competitions and community workshops. He and Teresa decided to combine her skill in portraiture with John’s skill in photography and Chandler Studios was born.
John captures the images and Teresa polishes his work with her artistic skills in the digital darkroom. Working as a team, Teresa’s meticulous eye for composition complements John’s posing and lighting. Their combined efforts result in the Fine Art Photography that has become the mainstay of Chandler Studios.
Keen to the ever-changing challenges of the world of digital imaging, Teresa and John both highly value the importance of continuing education for artists. Each is active in skill development in the various disciplines of digital imaging and both are active in teaching within their disciplines as well.
Chandler Studios is the marriage of John and Teresa’s talent where their love for photography and digital imaging is apparent to all who enter their photography studio in a renovated tobacco barn. Come visit their Richlands, NC studio and you will understand just how comfortable fine art photography can make you feel!
